There are Goddesses in Everywoman and Circles are Proliferating!

Goddesses in Everywoman - A Course on The Shift Network
I
will have the opportunity to teach what I know about each of the
archetypes in Goddesses in Everywoman in a ten week course for The Shift
Network (TSN) which is launched with a free seminar on January 27. The
course begins on February 17.Everyone who gets this newsletter will get
an announcement about this the week of January 20 -27.
This
came about from a hallway conversation at the Parliament of the World's
Religions with Stephen Dinan and Devaa Haley Mitchell, founders of the
Shift Network that felt like a synchronistic meeting. This coincided
with many short thank you conversations, the theme being; "I read
your goddesses book years ago and it changed my life." The goddesses
stirred in my psyche: "teach about me," each one was saying, "share what
you have learned since writing the book." (The 30th anniversary edition
came out in 2014.) Each teaching module is a 90 minute online session
with Q & A, some with music, a guided meditation, or small
circle discussions (the marvels of new Maestro program technology).

Artemis the Toddler and Grown Up
|
|
|
I came back before the holidays from a book and talk tour to London, Barcelona, and Rome with Artemis,
in English, Spanish and Italian editions. It was fun ( a "rock star"
welcome from expressive readers in Barcelona!), and as this book is part
of my assignment (definition: meaningful, fun, motivated by love), I
was energized by being on the road.
Artemis is my leading archetype, and in conversations and emails, I have some further thoughts--most not in the book:
From
toddlerhood on: Artemis' words are "I can do it myself" (puts
vulnerability off until you have to own up to needing help).

This
goes hand in hand, with "Don't want anyone to feel sorry for me" (to
avoid this, "Be a warrior!" which may have gotten you through a
lot of first part of life difficulties). "You aren't the boss of me!" (leads to feminism, equality and empowerment). "It's not fair!" the budding equality activist, on wanting the freedom and opportunities that boys seemed to have.
Growing
older (and wiser) means going beyond Artemis through learning to give
and receive support and empathy (discerning that this is not pity nor
secret pleasure in your misfortune.) Artemis needs lessons in humility
for soul growth, especially if you had a supportive father (like Artemis
had in Zeus). Humility is very different from humiliation or shame.
Guilt however, for arrogant assumptions of entitlement, or judgements
based on ignorance if followed by insight, can become an inner
teacher of humility and compassion. Compassion leads to action. The
Dalai Lama says the two go together.

Circle Proliferation Optimism!
I'm
observing how circles are forming everywhere and how it has become
easier and easier, which is the morphic field premise--might we be
moving toward critical mass and tipping point, the metaphoric "millionth
circle?" On hearing how significant conversations were held by
ambassadors in circles at the climate change conference in Paris, where
for the first time small island countries felt heard, and hearing others
speak about conferences and meetings where circles formed on purpose or
rose spontaneously--and knowing that real change comes from the
bottom-up in the patriarchal world, the proliferation of circles is
promising!

5WCW in 2020 in New Delhi, India: How it Could Happen
1. Hillary Clinton is elected US President in 2016 (otherwise no chance of it)
2. Prime Minister Modi supports having 5WCW in New Delhi (2016-2017) at the urging of women in India
3.
India's Ambassador to the UN introduces resolution in the
General Assembly for a UN 5th World Conference on Women in 2020.
4. Resolution passes (2017) followed by three years of pre-conference preparation--UN Women
5. 5WCW is held in 2020 in New Delhi, attended by 100,000 women.
My Advocacy for a UN 5th World Conference on Women (5WCW).
My
advocacy is about changing the world, the conference is the means to
that end. I am convinced that only when women take what they know and do
for children, family and home and do the same for planet and humanity,
(hand in hand with evolving men who do not seek to exercise power to
dominate or retaliate). Only when women speak up, and step up can
humanity evolve; the other choice is for us as a species is to
self-destruct, through turning human destiny over to the limited
imagination of alpha-males. Real change happens only from the
ground up, through reaching critical mass, tipping point, with circles
of women bottom-up technology, and 5WCW the means of accelerating
change.
